Origins Flower Fusion Rose Hydrating Sheet Mask

I’m a little bit of a sheet mask addict, I love to try sheet masks out, see how they feel and if they actually do what they say on the packaging. I’ve never used Origins products before so this was a first. Usually I don’t feel like sheet masks actually do very much at all apart from leaving you feeling a little gross (they are also very fun to chase your unsuspecting husband around with) however I had a problem dry area on my face, which is very unusual as I’m oily most of the time. I’d tried a lot of things over the course of a few weeks to get this uncomfortable dry area to go away and nothing seemed to work. One evening I decided to try this as I had been eyeing it up in my drawer and felt like now was the time I needed a “Hydrating” mask.

First thing I will say is if you are very sensitive this isn’t going to be pleasant, I am sensitive and within seconds I felt a burning sensation however nothing so bad that I would pull the mask off and wash my face. I decided to ride it out, what’s the worst that could happen apart from a red face for a few days. Anyway, after a few minutes the burning settled and it was a pleasant experience.
One of the main things I noticed right away was that this mask isn’t as slimy as the others I’ve tried, my hands didn’t feel gross after handling it and I didn’t feel like I was drowning in product.

After removing the mask my face wasn’t red or irritated at all, I rubbed in (gently) any remaining product and went to bed. The next day I woke up and it was a miracle, the problem dry area was gone and so was the uncomfortable feeling I had in that area. I was so impressed I even shared the experience with my husband who’d been aware of my dry area and my attempts at banishing it from my face.

I can’t speak to the rest of the line from the “Flower Fusion” masks but the Rose one gets a massive thumbs up from me and will now feature in my skin care once or twice a month. I will hopefully get around to trying more from that range and from the brand as I’m very impressed.

These masks are £5 each and they are a one use only mask.

You can currently purchase them from Debenhams and Look Fantastic in the UK.

**PLEASE NOTE IF YOU EXPERIENCE SKIN IRRITATION PLEASE REMOVE MASK AND WASH FACE WITH CLEAN WATER, although I didn’t experience any lasting issues I would hate for someone else to follow my example and get hurt**

Thank you for reading, I hope you enjoyed.

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

Clinique Moisture Surge

Clinique Moisture Surge

I’ve been excited to do this review for so long now, it’s sometimes hard to explain why you like something and I feel that’s how it is with this product but I’ll try my best.

The Clinique website describes this as “Light, comfortable cream/gel plumps skin with hydration for a full 24 hours. Fine lines, flakiness and tightness are washed away. In their place-a sense of supple, firm, vibrant well-being, even through shifts in humidity. One ‘drink’ and skin looks and feels happier, healthier.”

I like Clinique as a brand but they didn’t in my eyes have a really stand out product. Until I came across this bad boy.

I had gone in to Clinique to buy some makeup as my skin is very sensitive, I bought so much that I got some free samples and one of those samples was a very tiny sample of this “moisture surge”.  I’m always reluctant to slap stuff onto my face because between my sensitive skin and the fact my skin is also very oily I never want to trigger a break out or a big ugly red irritation.
I tried this out, I couldn’t have been more impressed. This feels very light and fresh on the skin, it absorbs fast and doesn’t leave you feeling icky.  It doesn’t have much of a scent which is perfect if you don’t want to walk around with a strong smell on your face all day.
I used the sample up within about a month of daily use and found that it didn’t cause any spots or increased oil, I also noticed the day after I stopped using it that my skin felt dry, brittle and dehydrated.
As soon as I could I bought more, I’m now on my 3rd bottle of this and can’t see how I ever lived without it.  It makes a massive difference to how I feel in my skin, without a doubt one of the best things I’ve ever bought. Worth every penny.

I’ve used it on it’s own and under my makeup, both work great but I’d let it fully absorb into the skin before applying anything on top.

The only way this product could be better was if Clinique was cruelty free, but we can all dream.

If you’re suffering with dry skin or skin that just feels “meh” then give this a try.

It’s suitable for all skin types and retails at £34.00 for 50ml
